  • Dong Nai and Gia Lai recorded the lowest price at 76,500 VND/kg
  • In Dak Lak and Dak Nong, prices reached 77,500 VND/kg

  • The highest price was observed in Ba Ria – Vung Tau at 79,500 VND/kg

According to Mr. Hoang Phuoc Binh, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Chư Sê Pepper Association, “the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted supply chains, and transportation costs have increased. Some enterprises signed sales contracts at 40,000-55,000 VND/kg, but now they have to buy pepper at over 70,000 VND/kg to fulfill their obligations. On the other hand, some enterprises are taking advantage of the situation to close out their stored inventory, which may lead to price fluctuations in the short term. We anticipate that by the end of this year and in the following years, black pepper prices will gradually improve and may reach 90,000-100,000 VND/kg.”
