The Huynh Phu Ancient House is the oldest architectural work still standing in Ben Tre. Built in the characteristic style of Hue, the house has a cross-shaped structure and a three-level tiled floor.
Over a century old, the Huynh Phu Ancient House still retains its beauty and cultural value. The house was entirely built by hand with 48 large wooden pillars and 32 cement ones. Inside, you will be amazed by the intricate and elaborate carvings.
On April 14, 2011, the Huynh Phu Ancient House was recognized as a National Architectural Art Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The Ho Chi Minh Road Relic Site on the Sea in Ben Tre, Thanh Hai Commune, Thanh Phu District, was the departure point for boats heading north to bring information about the Southern revolution to the Central Government and Uncle Ho during the resistance wars against the French and Americans.
Ben Tre, especially Thanh Phong wharf, has witnessed fierce resistance wars. However, this land stood firm and did not falter under the enemy’s pressure. The Thanh Phong revolutionary base before 1975, including today’s Thanh Hai Commune, was located at the end of Cu Lao Minh.
This coastal area has a terrain that includes flat fields interspersed with sand dunes, mangrove forests along the coast and river, and has gone through many battles. It was a base for receiving weapons from the North via the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea.
The achievements of the Thanh Phong base played an important role in defeating the “Local War” and “Vietnamization of the War” strategies of the US. It is a legend and a miracle in the anti-American resistance war of the Southern soldiers and people.
