Soaking in hot springs (rich in ionic mineral content) is a popular Japanese method of relaxation and health maintenance. For women, it helps keep the skin moist and supple, and can even slow down aging if done regularly. It is also an effective way to unwind after a stressful day. The ideal duration for a hot spring soak is between 15 and 20 minutes. After soaking, rinse off with clean water, preferably cold, to tighten pores.
