Using Club Soda
If you happen to spill tea or coffee on your clothes, soak the garment in hot water for about 5 minutes. Then, remove it and rinse with cold water.
Next, pour some clear club soda onto the stain and let it soak for a few minutes. Proceed to wash the clothing item with clean water as usual and hang it to dry in a well-ventilated area.
For woolen items, instead of soaking the fabric in hot water, use a cotton blanket to absorb hot water and place it over the stain for 2-3 minutes before soaking it in club soda.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is a great natural stain remover due to its acidic nature. To remove coffee stains, simply cut a lemon and rub it onto the stained area of the fabric several times. Alternatively, you can squeeze the juice into a bowl and use a cotton swab to apply it to the stain.
Finally, wash the garment with clean water, and you’ll find that the tea or coffee stains have disappeared. All that’s left to do is to hang it out to dry.
Mixture of White Vinegar and Laundry Detergent
In a basin, mix about 1/4 warm water, 1/2 teaspoon of laundry detergent, and 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Soak the stained clothing in this mixture for approximately 30 minutes, then rinse it with water and wash it again with detergent and cold water.
You can also pre-soak the stain with a small amount of detergent or laundry detergent for about 5 minutes. This will help loosen the stain, making it easier to wash in the machine.
Finally, launder the garment in warm or cold water using your regular detergent. If the stains persist, repeat the process.
Egg Yolk
Another effective method for removing tea and coffee stains is to use egg yolk. Separate the yolk from the egg white, then mix the yolk with a small amount of warm water. Use a sponge to apply this mixture to the stained area of the fabric. Afterward, pour a solution of detergent and water over the garment and rinse thoroughly to eliminate the stain completely.
Using a Concentrated Salt Water Mixture
If the previous methods don’t quite do the trick for coffee stains, try mixing 3-4 teaspoons of salt with a small amount of water. Soak the stain in this saltwater solution for a few minutes.
Before applying this mixture to the fabric, test it on a small, hidden area of the clothing item to ensure that the fabric doesn’t discolor.
After 5-10 minutes, rinse the garment with cold water as usual.
