Using Vegetable Oil as an Insecticide

Step 1: Combine 1 cup of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of soap in a spray bottle and shake well.

Step 2: Add 1 liter of water to the mixture, shake for about 1 minute, and then spray directly onto surfaces infested with insects.

This mixture is effective against pests such as chinch bugs, ticks, and aphids.

Using Chili or Pepper to Repel Insects

Step 1: Mix 1 tablespoon of chili powder or pepper with 1 liter of water and 1 teaspoon of soap. Then, strain the mixture through a mesh bag to remove any solids that could clog the spray nozzle.

Note: It is recommended to wear gloves during this process to avoid getting chili on your skin.

Step 2: Spray this mixture onto areas frequently visited by insects.

Using Soap as an Insecticide

Step 1: Pour 1/2 teaspoon of soap into a spray bottle, add 20-30 drops of essential oil, and then fill the bottle with 1 liter of water.

Step 2: Spray this mixture directly onto insect nests to eradicate them.

Note: It is best to avoid using this method during the hot morning or evening hours as the scent of soap and essential oils can be quite strong.

Using Garlic as an Insecticide

Garlic is known for its pungent odor, making it an effective and harmless insect repellent.

Step 1: Peel and blend one garlic clove with a small glass of water. Let the mixture sit overnight.

Step 2: Strain the mixture, discard the solids, and pour the garlic water into a spray bottle. Add 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of soap, and 1 liter of water, and shake well.

Step 3: Spray this mixture onto areas frequently visited by insects.

Alcohol as an Insect Repellent

Leaving a small glass of strong alcohol in the bathroom for a week and then replacing it, or placing a box of menthol balm in the bathroom are effective ways to eliminate odors without harming your health or that of your family.

Lavender Repels Mosquitoes

Lavender can drive away mosquitoes, moths, and flies. In cold regions, lavender is grown to keep mosquitoes away. If fresh flowers are not available, you can rub dried flowers on your skin or spray lavender essential oil instead of using mosquito repellents.
