How to Make Salmon with Passion Fruit Sauce

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon

Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Season the fish with 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Make the Passion Fruit Sauce

Cut the passion fruits in half and scoop out the pulp. Strain the pulp to extract the juice (about 50ml). Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, melting it over low heat. Sauté the minced garlic and onion until fragrant.

Pour the passion fruit juice into the pan, adding honey and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Adjust the seasoning to taste and remove from heat.

Step 3: Pan-fry the Salmon

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Place the salmon fillets in the pan and cook each side for about 3-4 minutes (depending on thickness) until golden and crispy.

Step 4: Plate and Serve

Place the salmon on a serving dish and drizzle the passion fruit sauce on top. Garnish with parsley or coriander and serve with mashed potatoes or a green salad.
