Family and Personal New Year’s Greetings
As in previous years, the tradition of exchanging New Year’s greetings with family, friends, and colleagues is more important than ever. This is an occasion for us to wish each other good luck in the new year and ward off misfortune.
Moreover, during the new year, children often receive lucky money envelopes.
Visiting Temples for Blessings
The New Year is also an opportunity for families to visit temples and pray for blessings.
On the first day of the year, it is customary for every household to go to the temple to receive blessings and get their fortunes told. You can go to the temple with your family to find inner peace and pray for health and peace in the Year of Tan Suu.
Traveling with Family and Friends
The Lunar New Year is a time for families to gather and friends to reunite. Instead of spending too much time with social media, phones, and computers, let’s share meaningful stories and wishes together.
You can spend time with your loved ones by going to the park, having coffee and chatting together.
Traveling during the Lunar New Year
Traveling is also a great idea if you have the time and budget.
However, in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, please be careful. Considerations should be made to protect your own health and the health of those around you.
