Former Vietnam’s Next Top Model winner Hoang Thuy recently made headlines after sharing on social media that she had been invited to judge a beauty pageant, only to have the offer rescinded at the last minute. Her post, which indirectly called out the organizer, sparked a lot of interest and discussion among her followers.
Born in 1992, Hoang Thuy entered the fashion industry by participating in Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2011, one of the most prestigious modeling competitions in the country. During the competition, she was often criticized for her looks and lack of modeling skills. However, Hoang Thuy underwent a remarkable transformation and eventually met the modeling industry’s standards. She went on to win the competition, claiming the top spot.
Now, as a renowned runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam, Hoang Thuy has become an even more influential figure in the fashion industry. Her journey to self-improvement has not been without controversy, with some accusing her of undergoing plastic surgery to achieve her doll-like figure. Hoang Thuy, however, has neither responded to nor elaborated on these claims, choosing instead to focus on her continued success and recognition as a style and beauty icon. She has perfected her signature sexy style, which few can match.
Dedicated Training
Hoang Thuy, once known for her extremely slim figure, has worked hard to meet the standards of an international supermodel. For nearly two years, she dedicated herself to rigorous training with a personal trainer and adopted a scientific diet. Hoang Thuy focused on gaining weight and spent countless hours in the gym. In addition, she practiced yoga, pole dancing, and running to improve her overall fitness and well-being.
According to Hoang Thuy, yoga taught her perseverance and patience, while pole dancing allowed her to confidently perform eye-catching moves during photoshoots. She explains, “Pole dancing tones and strengthens the body. Whether one gains or loses weight depends on their diet. If an overweight person practices pole dancing and reduces their food intake, they will lose weight quickly. On the other hand, if an underweight person practices and increases their food intake, their body will become more proportionate.” With a waist measurement of 58cm, Hoang Thuy’s slender figure is the envy of many.
Diet
In addition to her rigorous training regimen, Hoang Thuy also follows a special diet. The model openly shares, “Exercising has made me more confident and energetic. It has taught me how to overcome challenges and manage stress. Sweating during workouts has improved my skin complexion, and I feel more relaxed and positive.”
Hoang Thuy focuses on consuming protein-rich foods and those that boost her metabolism. While she maintains a strict diet, she doesn’t deprive herself. “I usually eat a lot of beef and chicken to ensure I get enough protein. I also include fruits, vegetables, cereals, and nuts in my diet after each training session. I prefer home-cooked meals to avoid oily restaurant food. Additionally, I drink 2-3 liters of water daily to detox my body and maintain smooth skin.”
Hoang Thuy cautions against overly restrictive diets, as they can lead to energy deficits and even have the opposite effect, resulting in weight gain instead of loss.
