Recently, Phi Nhung’s daughter shared a gift she received from her mother along with a heartfelt message: “Over the past two years, our lives have continued to change. The whole family is preparing to witness the next step in my journey. This plate was made by me for my mother when I was little, with a little touch of my mother’s star.”
Simple and humble items, but filled with the sacred love of motherhood, have touched many people. It is clear that Phi Nhung’s daughter has set aside a small corner to preserve all the mementos of her mother.
Wendy Pham is the only daughter of singer Phi Nhung. Since childhood, she has been kept away from the public eye by her mother to maintain a peaceful life. Therefore, when Wendy started her own family, she chose not to share her personal life. Only after Phi Nhung passed away did many people become aware of Wendy’s husband and children.
In the program, Phi Nhung revealed details about her daughter’s marriage. She shared that Wendy had a boyfriend from an early age. However, she did not object to their relationship but rather guided both of them wisely. Phi Nhung revealed that her son-in-law later studied nursing and now works alongside his wife. Their relationship is harmonious.
Wendy has two sons, Nathan and Nicholai. Previously, Phi Nhung occasionally traveled to the US for performances and to visit her grandson Nathan. As for Nicholai, the singer of “Bong dien dien” hasn’t had the chance to see her grandson in person due to geographical distance and the Covid-19 pandemic. “Nicholai didn’t have the opportunity to welcome his grandmother at the airport and be embraced by her. Nathan will cherish these memories forever and share them with his brother,” shared Wendy Pham.
The departure of Phi Nhung has caused immense pain not only to her relatives and friends but also to her fans. Even now, the audience still cannot believe that the female singer has left forever. Although she has moved on to the other world, Phi Nhung’s image and voice will always remain in the hearts of her fans, friends, and loved ones.
After her mother’s passing, Wendy openly shares with the audience during special occasions, embracing a new life instead of dwelling on the grief of such a great loss. Wendy also makes an effort to teach her two sons fluent Vietnamese, just as her mother wished during her lifetime.
