The benefits of lemon for hair
Lemons are rich in vitamin C, which helps strengthen the immune system and reduce stress. When using lemon on hair, it is most beneficial to apply it at the affected area in liquid form.
The citric acid in lemon juice is a natural bleach or oxidizer. It whitens hair by reducing the hair’s chemical pigment, or melanin. The brightening effect of lemon juice tends to work best with lighter hair colors, such as blonde and light brown.
The benefits of citric acid in lemon can even address root hair problems – in the literal sense. This is especially true if you have dry scalp or dandruff.
Ways to beautify your hair with lemon
Improve scalp health

Use lemon for shiny hair
Use lemon and honey to care for shiny hair. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture to the hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes and rinse it off.
Use lemon to promote hair growth
Use aloe vera with lemon juice to create a natural shampoo that does not contain soap. Mix 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel with 1/2 cup of water along with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix it well and pour everything onto your scalp. Massage and rinse thoroughly to promote healthy hair growth.
Exfoliate the scalp with lemon
Dip half a lemon into a little sugar and gently rub it on the scalp. Section the hair to exfoliate dead cells all the way to the hair roots. Massage your scalp for one minute and then rinse it off.

Onion juice combined with lemon juice has a very good effect on promoting healthy hair. Mix 2 tablespoons of onion juice with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Massage it evenly throughout the hair for a few minutes. Leave it on for 30 minutes and simply rinse it off.
Use lemon to treat dandruff
Mix 2 tablespoons of coconut oil with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Massage it onto your scalp, leave it on for 15 minutes, and rinse it off.
Note:
– While lemon can help treat dry skin and dandruff, you should use caution if you have eczema or psoriasis.
– Another possibility is a condition called photodermatitis, which is a reaction to certain plants. You may consider applying sunscreen to any sun-exposed areas, such as your hair. Conditioning oils containing zinc oxide can also protect your hair color from harmful UV rays very well.
