Turmeric has a fairly high curcumin content, which has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant effects; Vitamin E creates a shield that minimizes collagen/elastin breakdown. As a result, using turmeric promotes wound healing. But this effect is only maximized for small wounds such as scratches or acne. For larger wounds, turmeric’s effectiveness in fading scars and reducing hyperpigmentation is very low.
Applying turmeric to wounds that have not yet healed can cause the future scar to turn dark and shiny. In this case, not only does turmeric fail to fade the scar, but it also emphasizes it.

Turmeric has a fairly high curcumin content, which has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant effects.
For small, shallow wounds, you can use turmeric to treat scars in the following ways:
Fresh Turmeric
Choose dark yellow turmeric, wash and slice it thinly. After the wound has closed and dried, apply fresh turmeric directly to the scar daily. Do not apply fresh turmeric to open wounds or wet wounds.
Turmeric and Honey Mask
Ingredients:
– 1 fresh turmeric root
– 2 tablespoons of pure honey
Directions:
Grate the turmeric and mix it with honey. Apply the mixture to your face and acne-prone areas. Wash your face with warm water and pat dry after 15-20 minutes.
By diligently doing this 2-3 times a week, you can get rid of acne on your forehead and other parts of your face.

Turmeric and Passion Fruit Mask
Passion fruit contains high levels of citric acid, which helps remove dirt, unclogs pores, and prevents acne.
Ingredients:
– 3 tablespoons of turmeric powder
– 1 passion fruit
Directions:
Mix the turmeric powder with the passion fruit pulp. Apply the mixture to your face, especially acne-prone areas, for about 15 minutes. Then, rinse your face thoroughly with warm water.
Turmeric and Milk Mask
Ingredients:
– 1 fresh turmeric root
– 3 tablespoons of unsweetened milk
Directions:
Grate the turmeric and mix it with milk. Apply the mixture to your face and acne-prone areas. Wash your face with warm water and pat dry after 15-20 minutes.
By diligently following this acne treatment, you can get rid of acne and blackheads on your forehead and other parts of your face.
Turmeric Powder:
Apply a mixture of turmeric powder and yogurt to your skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Then, rinse it off with water. Do this 2-3 times a week. Alternatively, mix turmeric powder with honey in a 1:1 ratio and apply it to your skin. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with water, also 2-3 times a week.
Note: Make sure to clean and remove any impurities from the turmeric root’s skin before drying and grinding it. For sensitive skin, do not use fresh turmeric directly on the skin.
