Diep Lam Anh recently took a summer vacation to Da Nang and Hoi An with her mother, two children, and her boyfriend, Pham Kien, who is 11 years her junior. However, their plans were disrupted by the impact of the first storm (Wutip), as heavy rains persisted in many central provinces.
Diep Lam Anh summed up her holiday in one word: ‘Storm’. Prior to the trip, she had revealed a shopping spree for her family, spending over 82 million VND on clothes and personal items, only to be confined indoors due to the stormy weather.
During the initial days of their vacation, they opted for indoor activities, enjoying meals and relaxation within the resort. Diep Lam Anh and Pham Kien shared photos of their gym sessions together, with the latter affectionately referring to her as his ‘drinking buddy.’
In Da Nang, many tourists were forced to remain indoors due to the heavy rains. The beaches were largely inaccessible due to the stormy weather and safety concerns, and popular tourist spots were also affected. It wasn’t until the 14th of June, when the storm subsided, that Diep Lam Anh was able to take her children to explore some local attractions.
The family ventured into the ancient town of Hoi An, strolling through the walking streets, shopping, and taking in the sights. They visited popular spots along Tran Phu, Bach Dang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Loi, Hoang Van Thu, and a portion of Phan Chau Trinh streets. This area, located in the Minh An ward, sits along the lower reaches of the Thu Bon River and is renowned for its handicraft shops and traditional cafes, adorned with colorful lanterns.
Diep Lam Anh and her mother posed for a memorable photo in front of a well-known spot in Hoi An’s ancient town, which houses a painting class, souvenir shop, and a workshop teaching the art of lantern-making. This location is popular among both Vietnamese and foreign tourists.
The family rented a boat and released flower lanterns on the Hoai River, a quintessential Hoi An experience. This evening ritual allows visitors to make wishes as they gently float along the river, releasing glowing lanterns onto the water. The cost of this activity typically ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 VND per person for 20-30 minutes, or one can opt for a private boat for larger groups. It’s a perfect way to immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the ancient town at night and create lasting memories.
Diep Lam Anh and her family stayed at a resort located on Cua Dai Beach, renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. The resort blends modern architecture with enchanting Asian influences, offering well-appointed rooms and villas with sea or garden views. Guests can indulge in the infinite pool, pamper themselves with spa treatments, and savor a variety of Asian and European cuisines within the resort’s premises.
The resort boasts 218 rooms and villas, with the most luxurious being a five-bedroom villa spanning approximately 468 square meters. This villa features a private pool and accommodates up to ten guests, making it ideal for large families or groups of friends seeking privacy and exclusivity.
Diep Lam Anh shared that it had been five years since her last visit to Hoi An. “The last time I was in Hoi An, Bboy was still in my belly, and now he’s about to start first grade. Time flies, so I want to work hard and also ‘let loose’ by taking my kids on week-long vacations to create lasting childhood memories. Before we know it, they’ll be all grown up and will want to explore the world with their friends instead of holding mom’s hand everywhere we go,” she reflected.
