Located approximately 50km from the center of Hanoi, in Huong Son Commune, My Duc District, this is a popular destination for visitors every new year. The site is famous for its complex of temples, pagodas, and shrines dedicated to Buddha and large caves, creating a mystical and serene spiritual space.

A visit to Perfume Pagoda offers not only the opportunity to worship Gods and Buddhas but also to immerse yourself in the beautiful nature and breathe the fresh air while sailing along the romantic Yen River.

Perfume Pagoda is one of the largest festivals in Vietnam, attracting millions of visitors each year. According to Hanoi Moi newspaper, during the first three days of the recent Tet holiday, about 20,000 tourists visited the pagoda for sightseeing and worship. Images on social media show that the temples, pagodas, and caves in the Perfume Pagoda complex are always bustling with visitors during the first days of spring.

Located in Quang Ninh Province, the Yen Tu Historic and Scenic Complex is an ideal place for spring tourism at the beginning of the year. The site attracts visitors with its magnificent natural scenery and profound spiritual cultural values.

The highest point of Yen Tu, both literally and figuratively, is the Dong Pagoda. Located at the highest peak of the mountain range at an altitude of 1068m, Dong Pagoda, also known as Thien Truc Tu, is the largest copper pagoda in Asia.

With its unique architecture of only one space, visitors cannot enter the pagoda but can only worship from the outside. Nevertheless, Dong Pagoda remains a popular attraction for its sacredness and significant historical and spiritual values.

In addition to Dong Pagoda, Yen Tu also boasts other appealing sites such as Truc Lam Pagoda, Giai Oan Pagoda, and Hoa Yen Pagoda… Each location has its unique beauty, contributing to the overall impressive picture of the relic site.

A spring trip to Yen Tu offers visitors the chance to admire the scenery, pray for peace in the new year, experience mountain climbing, immerse themselves in nature, and learn about Buddhist culture.

4 Den Tran – Nam Dinh

The Tran Temple Relic Site, located in Nam Dinh City, is a promising spring destination for tourists during Tet this year. The site will host the Tran Temple Seal Opening Ceremony, considered the most important festival of the year for the people of Nam Dinh.

The festival takes place from the 11th to the 16th of the first lunar month to commemorate the great contributions of the Tran kings, who founded and protected the country, leaving a glorious page in the history of the Vietnamese nation. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to educate the younger generation about patriotism, unity, and the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people.

The seal opening ceremony begins with a procession of seals from neighboring temples to Thien Truong Temple, where 14 Tran kings are worshipped, and Co Trach Temple, dedicated to the great general Tran Hung Dao. Then, an incense offering ceremony is solemnly held with the participation of local leaders, authorities, and numerous visitors from all directions.

Throughout the festival, visitors can immerse themselves in a lively atmosphere with various traditional cultural activities such as wrestling, dragon and lion dances, and folk games… Especially, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy Bong Mot dance, a traditional dance from the Tran dynasty, which recreates the joy of victory of our soldiers in the battles against foreign invaders.

Hue has always been an attractive tourist destination for visitors, especially during Tet. This year, tourists have an additional reason to visit the Imperial City of Hue as Dien Kien Trung – a unique architectural work located within the Hue Imperial City – has been restored and opened to the public after 77 years of destruction.

Dien Kien Trung was built by King Khai Dinh during 1921-1923 as a place for the king’s work and daily life. The structure showcases a blend of French, Italian, and traditional Vietnamese architectural styles, resulting in a distinctive and magnificent ensemble. However, in 1947, due to the war, Dien Kien Trung was completely destroyed.

In 2019, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center launched a project to restore Dien Kien Trung. After more than 3 years of construction, the project was completed and opened to tourists during Tet 2024.
