During the upcoming rice harvest season, Ban Phung attracts quite a number of photographers and tourists alike. And one of the more affordable options for accommodation is the rustic homestay, Trong Phu.

Trong Phu Homestay boasts breathtaking views at any time of the day, all year round. This particular shot captures the beauty of the rice terraces in the autumn sun.

Here, we see the magical scenery at dawn, with the rice fields starting to turn golden.

The fields glow under the morning sun.

A hint of mystery as the sun sets on the almost-harvested rice fields.

Beautiful from every angle.

Whether it’s a close-up or a wide shot, the scenery is always stunning.

Trong Phu Homestay is not overly ornate, but its location at the highest point in the village makes it a popular stop for tourists visiting Ban Phung. Especially with the upcoming rice harvest season, along with Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai) and Ta Van – Y Ty (Lao Cai), Ban Phung in Hoang Su Phi will be a super hot destination for travelers.

Not everyone can easily access this view, as the journey from Hanoi to Hoang Su Phi is quite far and challenging, and even more so for those coming from the southern provinces.

However, in recent years, many families have chosen to travel by private car to Ha Giang, so the number of visitors to Ban Phung has increased, especially in September.

From the homestay, it feels like you can almost touch the clouds.

Mr. Trong Phu, the owner of the homestay, shared that cars can drive directly to the homestay. There are two types of rooms to choose from: private rooms and dorm-style rooms.

The dorm-style rooms cost 120,000 VND per person, while the private rooms are priced at 700,000 VND. The private rooms offer a stunning view and are equipped with modern amenities. The bathrooms are brand new and spotlessly clean. From each room, you can simply step out onto the balcony to capture countless beautiful photos or relax and take in the natural surroundings.

The homestay offers affordable dorm-style rooms for larger groups. The price of the private room is also reasonable. This year, Mr. Trong Phu renovated the private room to make it more spacious.

As the village has few restaurants, the homestay also provides meals for guests. The food is prepared in the authentic style of the local people, allowing guests to experience the unique highland cuisine.

Photographers often stay here to capture the beauty of the rice harvest season.

Trong Phu Homestay is located at the highest point in the village, so guests can enjoy the unique experience of “checking in with a million-dollar bowl of noodles” (a playful way of describing eating noodles in a unique setting). A bowl of noodles is very affordable, but enjoying it amidst the clouds, with the majestic Tai Con Linh mountain range in front of you and the beautiful rice terraces below is a privilege not many get to experience.

Many young people proudly share photos of this special bowl of noodles as a “trophy” from their journey to discover the pristine and majestic beauty of Ha Giang, after a challenging journey.

It’s not just about the noodles; even the homecooked meals are Instagram-worthy.

In the winter, you can enjoy a hot pot surrounded by clouds.
