Green Tea Leaves to Prevent Hair Loss and Stimulate Hair Growth
The leaf in question is green tea, a very popular ingredient in Vietnam. Green tea contains caffeine, which inhibits the hormone DHT. This hormone shrinks hair follicles, making hair more prone to breakage and fall out.
By using green tea, the negative effects of DHT are blocked, thus improving hair loss.
Additionally, green tea is rich in polyphenols, vitamin C, and vitamin E, which promote blood circulation, nourishing the hair follicles and stimulating hair growth, resulting in stronger hair.
Green tea is also packed with antioxidants, which help fight bacteria, reduce inflammation, and control oil secretion on the scalp. When used appropriately, green tea can give hair more volume, eliminate dandruff, and reduce scalp irritation.

Hair Care Tips Using Green Tea
– Hair Mask with Green Tea
You can create a nourishing hair mask by combining green tea with chamomile to prevent breakage, stimulate growth, and enhance hair health. Take 20 grams of dried green tea leaves and 50 grams of chamomile flowers, add them to a pot of water, and boil for about 5 minutes. Then, strain the mixture and let the liquid cool down. Add 200ml of white rum to the cooled green tea and pour the mixture into a glass jar. Let it infuse for 3 days.
After shampooing your hair, apply the infused green tea mixture to your hair evenly. Leave it on for about 40 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Doing this once a week will make your hair stronger and shinier.
– Green Tea and Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Treatment
Take 50 grams of fresh green tea leaves and boil them in about 1 liter of water for 5 minutes. Allow the tea to cool and then use it to rinse your hair. Afterward, apply apple cider vinegar to your hair and gently massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, then shampoo and condition your hair as usual. Using this treatment once a week will effectively reduce dandruff and strengthen your hair.
– Green Tea Hair Rinse
This is the simplest way to use green tea for hair care. Take 500 grams of fresh green tea leaves, rinse them thoroughly, and boil them in 2 liters of water for about 15 minutes. Let the tea cool down a bit, and then use it to rinse your hair, gently massaging it into your scalp and hair roots to allow the nutrients to absorb. Finally, rinse your hair with clean water.
You can do this 2-3 times a week. When using green tea for hair rinsing, pay attention to the water temperature, as using water that is too hot can damage your scalp. Since green tea is a natural ingredient, consistent and long-term use is key to seeing results.
