Hung Quoc To Temple was officially established in 1957 and is the first temple in the Mekong Delta region dedicated to the Hung Kings. To date, the temple is over 60 years old, built by the locals to honor and pay tribute to the king who expanded the country’s borders and shaped the nation. In front of the temple is a shrine dedicated to Ho Chi Minh, and inside are altars to the Hung Kings and other enlightened rulers. In 2004, Hung Quoc To Temple was recognized by the People’s Committee of Kien Giang province as a historical-cultural relic at the provincial level. By 2016, the temple had been restored, expanded, and inaugurated on the occasion of the Hung Kings’ death anniversary.
