The Tran Vu Bell is Hanoi’s fifth night tour, featuring a unique combination of night performances and immersive experiences at the ancient Tran Vu Temple, one of the four protective temples of the ancient capital.

This 90-minute tour is a captivating journey through history and culture, offering a blend of stage performances and interactive elements that bring to life the ancient festival honoring the Holy Tran Vu, the guardian deity of the North and protector of agricultural communities.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Ta Nam Chien, Chairman of Ba Dinh District People’s Committee, emphasized the significance of this night tour in the district’s strategy to develop tourism while preserving cultural heritage. He highlighted that the tour is more than just an artistic performance; it is a spiritual, historical, and cultural exploration of Hanoi and is expected to attract both local and international visitors.

The tour comprises two main parts: a staged performance and a temple exploration. The performance showcases a festive atmosphere with a procession, rituals, and plays honoring the Holy Tran Vu. It also incorporates a unique blend of sound and light effects, creating a mesmerizing experience for viewers.

Following the performance, guests are invited to explore the temple and uncover its hidden secrets. They will discover ancient artifacts, such as the pair of matching bronze lamps and the ancient bronze gong, and learn about the temple’s rich history and its connection to the local crafts of silk weaving, bronze casting, and the era of the Trinh lords.

The tour also includes a tea ceremony, calligraphy demonstrations, and displays of traditional costumes, offering a holistic cultural experience.

With its blend of entertainment and cultural immersion, the Tran Vu Bell night tour is set to become a must-experience attraction for visitors to Hanoi, offering a unique perspective on the city’s rich historical and spiritual heritage.

The night tour is expected to open to the public weekly starting in August, joining the roster of Hanoi’s captivating night tours that bring the city’s history and culture to life after dark.
