How to Steam Tasty Carp

Ingredients

– Carp: 2 – 2.5kg (serves 4-5 people)

– Snakehead fish’s guts: 500g

– Chicken drumstick mushrooms: 400g

– Tomato, ginger, lemongrass, coriander, water spinach, dill, chili, lime, dried shallots, banana flowers

Instructions

– First, clean the fish, cut the middle part in big chunks, cut a few lines on the fish’s side for quick cooking.

– Then marinate the fish with a little seasoning granules, monosodium glutamate, turmeric powder, and lemongrass.

– Prepare the aromatic vegetables and mushrooms.

– Marinate the fish guts for about 20 minutes.

– Use the accompanying vegetables to line the bottom of the dish and steam for 30 minutes. If you use a steamer with layers, place the fish guts on the top layer as they cook faster.

When you eat steamed carp this way, you will taste the tender and sweet flesh, crispy fish guts, and well-cooked vegetables and mushrooms. Dip it in fish sauce, garlic, chili, ginger, a little sugar, and sprinkle some coriander to make it even more delicious.
