3How to lubricate the treadmill

After a period of use, lubricating the treadmill is essential in the operation process to ensure the machine operates effectively. Specifically, lubrication has the following benefits:

  • Prevent the wear and tear of the treadmill carpet.
  • Reduce noise during the treadmill’s operation as well as enhance the smoothness of the machine’s movements, improving workout efficiency.
  • Maintain the operation of the machine’s components below the treadmill carpet, while extending the product’s lifespan.

Currently, there are 2 basic types of treadmills on the market: and .

How to lubricate a treadmill using a DC motor is carried out as follows:

  • Unplug the power cord of the treadmill.
  • Use specialized tools that come with the machine to open the 2 end screws of the machine.
  • Use a soft cloth to clean the dust under the treadmill carpet.
  • Lift the treadmill carpet gently, then apply about 30 ml of lubricant to form 2 long lines on both sides of the carpet.
  • After the lubricant spreads evenly on the carpet, press the carpet lightly, then tighten the 2 screws that were removed earlier.
