Cinnamon bark has a spicy and sweet taste, warm nature, and has the effect of tonifying the fire of life, expelling cold, warming the uterus, and promoting blood circulation. It can be used to tonify yang in cases of weak kidney yang, cold and numb hands and feet, and cramps. Expelling cold and regulating qi: Used for severe abdominal pain caused by cold entering the intestines, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Cinnamon bark warms the kidneys and promotes water: Used in cases of weak yang energy, edema, difficult urination, and severe swelling of the feet.

Medicinal Dishes with Cinnamon

Rehmannia cinnamon porridge

3g cinnamon bark (finely powdered), 10g rehmannia, 60-80g glutinous rice cooked into a thin porridge. Season the porridge with a little cilantro and a pinch of salt. This porridge is good for people with diabetes, urinary problems, and prostate hyperplasia.

Cinnamon red bean porridge

10g cinnamon bark powder, 30g small red beans, 60-80g glutinous rice cooked into porridge. This porridge is suitable for men with prostate hyperplasia. Eat once a day for 10 days.

Cynomorium cinnamon porridge

30g cynomorium, 10g cinnamon bark, 50-80g glutinous rice. Extract the medicinal ingredients and use the liquid to cook with rice into porridge. Eat it in the morning and evening when hungry. This porridge is good for people with thyroid hypofunction.

Cinnamon mung bean porridge

20g cinnamon bark (crushed), 10g mung beans, 60g glutinous rice cooked into porridge. Add sugar when eating. Cook once a day, divide into two servings for breakfast and dinner. It is best to eat when the porridge is still warm, and use for 5-7 days. Suitable for women with cold and low menstruation, abdominal pain, and weak constitution.

Braised beef with licorice and cinnamon

500g beef, 10g licorice, 12g cinnamon bark, 1 Thao Qua fruit. Slice the beef into thin slices and put it in boiling water. Add salt, spices, star anise, ginger slices, and cinnamon bark, a little sugar and a little oil, and mix well. Add water to cook the beef. Simmer over low heat for 4-6 hours until the water is reduced, then remove the residue from the medicine. Eat it with meals. This dish is good for weak, malnourished individuals and causes edema.

Steamed chicken liver with cinnamon

1 set of chicken liver, 1g cinnamon bark powder (sprinkle on the liver), steam until cooked, add a little fish sauce. Good for children with urinary problems.

Restrictions: Not suitable for those with excessive yin and yang imbalance, those with injuries to the sexual organs, bleeding, pregnant women. Do not use cinnamon with stones, impurities, or leeks.
