This decision holds great significance in realizing the goal of social security development and building a prosperous and happy Vietnamese society. It aims to increase awareness of the International Day of Happiness and encourage concrete actions towards building happy families and communities in Vietnam. The decision also calls for cooperation and support from national and international organizations and individuals for activities on this day.
In 2014, Vietnam officially organized activities on the International Day of Happiness with the theme “Love and Share.” Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam conveyed a message on behalf of the Government, emphasizing the country’s longstanding motto of “Independence – Freedom – Happiness” and its commitment to striving for a world of peace, prosperity, and happiness for all.
