Components of the Odd game set include 500 cards:

  • 350 white cards
  • 150 black cards

Initial game setup:

After selecting a host, one person randomly draws 5 white cards. The host then takes 1 black card and reads the sentence on it aloud. This sentence could be a question or a blank sentence that needs to be completed. The player with the best combination of the black card becomes the winner. The role of the host is passed to the left after each round to ensure fairness in the game.

How to play:

After the host finishes reading, each player presents the funniest white card that matches the black card. It is important not to reveal which card belongs to which player. The host then reads each black card matched with the white card. The card that is deemed the best by the host’s judgment is kept by its owner as a “training point” and marks the end of the round. After each round, players draw more white cards so that everyone has 5 white cards before starting the next round. The game continues until a certain number of points is reached or when you decide to stop playing.

Special cards in the Odd board game:

  • “Choose 2” card: Players draw two white cards and fill in the blanks on the black card. The first card goes on top, and the second card goes on the bottom.
  • “Draw 2, choose 3” card: Players draw 2 white cards and play 3 cards from the 7 cards in their hand, from top to bottom.
  • Confidently show personality: This special card in Odd requires players to choose 2 white cards and then choose 3 more cards to create a short story with a meaning derived from those 3 cards.

Rules in the Odd board game:

There are 4 rules in the Odd board game:

  • “Let me show off”: Players can play 2 white cards by betting 1 training point. If they win with one of the two white cards, they receive a point. If they lose, the winner gets a point from the host as well as the points bet.
  • “Atheism”: If a player feels that the host is not playing well, they have the right to vote to eliminate the host. The white card with the most votes wins.
  • “John Cena”: This card is always present in the game. In each round, a player can draw a random white card, which will be assigned to John Cena.
  • “CLGTN?”: If a player draws a white card they don’t understand, they can announce it to the whole table and leave that card in the white card pile to draw another card.
