1 History of the establishment of the traditional day of the Vietnamese lawyer
On 10/10/1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 46/SL to establish the profession of lawyer and issued regulations on lawyers. The concepts and principles in the decree affirmed the role and position of the legal profession.
By 2012, Vietnam had more than 8,000 lawyers and over 30 legal professional organizations. However, at that time, there was still no traditional day for lawyers like other professions.
On 14/1/2013, the Prime Minister decided that 10/10 every year would be the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Lawyer according to Decision No. 149/QD-TTg.
