Below are a few things that might surprise you when you find out you’ve been doing them wrong.
1. Proper Toothpaste Amount
Dr. Gao Jye Teh, a Malaysian dentist from King’s College (London, UK), recently shared some oral health tips on TikTok that have gone viral.
He explained to 6 million viewers the proper amount of toothpaste for each brushing. For children over 3 years old, the amount of toothpaste should only be the size of a pea.
Children with primary teeth using more than a pea-sized amount will face the highest risk. The dentist noted, “Children will consume too much fluoride and cause a cosmetic issue called fluorosis in developing teeth.”
The associated consequences may include: tooth discoloration to yellow or brown, or the formation of spots on the teeth.
2. Folding Clothes Technique
Rolling clothes is the best way to save space when packing them in a suitcase, rather than folding them neatly and stacking them.
3. Choosing Eggs
Each breed of chicken will lay eggs with different colors. However, brown and white eggs do not determine the nutritional difference. But we tend to choose eggs based on color and think that color determines the price.
What determines the nutritional difference and taste of eggs is the living environment and food of the hens.
4. Slicing Bread Technique
Slicing bread from the back will result in less crumbling than slicing from the front.
5. Drying Dishes Technique
Use a dry and clean towel to wipe the dishes instead of letting them air dry upside down. This method will be much better as it avoids the risk of moisture and mold.
