Brightening Silverware
Dropping it in boiling water is enough to make your tarnished silverware shine. This trick can polish any silver item. Line the bottom of a pot or dish with aluminum foil, then you can place a spoon, chopsticks, or fork inside, sprinkle on baking soda, and carefully pour in the boiling water. Let the water cool and then wipe it clean with a cloth. Now you have a set of silverware as good as new!
Specifically, first boil the water. The amount of water should be enough to fully submerge the silverware you want to clean. In the meantime, use aluminum foil to line the inside of the tray/bowl/box.
You should choose a large tray to be able to hold the silverware submerged in water. Once the water is boiling, you pour it into this tray.

Next, add baking soda. On average, each liter of boiling water will use about 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Finally, put the silverware in. Note that the silverware should touch the aluminum foil.
Immediately, you will see bubbles and hear “sizzle” sounds. Gradually, the layers of dirt will separate from the silverware and you will see the silver shine again. This process will take a few minutes.
At this point, because the water is still hot, you must be very careful when taking it out. Then dry the silverware, jewelry with a soft cloth. If there are still blurry spots, you can repeat the process several times. However, this should not be applied to silver jewelry with gems.

The magic you’ve seen is due to the silver contacting with aluminum. Sulfur atoms cling to the silver, creating silver sulfide that makes the silver tarnished and old, and have been taken away, transferred to aluminum foil, helping the silver shine again.
Cleaning the Microwave
In fact, when using a microwave, if you’re not careful, the food will splatter around the oven, if not wiped immediately, but that stain will dry up, stick around the oven, very difficult to clean, making the oven dirty and smelling uncomfortable.
At this point, you just need to cut a few slices of lemon and put them in a cup of water, the remaining part of the lemon you squeeze the juice in, then place this cup of water in the microwave and turn on the microwave for about 3 minutes. The microwave will be completely deodorized, and have a fresh and pleasant lemon scent.
Then use a damp cloth to immediately wipe the stains stuck around the oven. As for the rotating plate, it should be removed and scrubbed clean.
Cleaning Drain Pipes
Boiling water may not be strong enough to deal with really serious problems, but for some clogged drain pipes in the sink, you should try boiling water before buying expensive cleaning agents. Pour boiling water slowly down the drain pipe, the heat of the water can help flush away the built-up debris and less stubborn dirt!

Eliminating Unpleasant Odors
You may be cooking dinner and the smell of food permeates your house. The principle is that boiling something will amplify its smell, which is very useful if you want to clean up the smell of food that seeps into other rooms. Place a pot of boiling water on the stove and then add slices of lemon or lemon peels, a few cinnamon sticks, or any fragrance you have and boil them.
