Method 1: Schedule an Appointment via Hotline

To obtain a new CCCD card, you can call the hotline – 028.1080 to schedule an appointment with the Social Security Administration Office of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC06).

Scheduling an appointment in advance will save you a significant amount of time and streamline the card application process.

Method 2: Apply Online via Website

Step 1: Visit the Ho Chi Minh City Police website at qlhc.catphcm.bocongan.gov.vn/ → Select the box CẤP CĂN CƯỚC CÔNG DÂN to start filling out the application form.

Step 2: Fill out the Electronic Application Form for CCCD

Choose one of the following options: new card issuance, card replacement, or re-issuance of a CCCD card with a chip.

In the “BASIC INFORMATION” section, enter your personal information, including your full name, date of birth, and address. In the “Place of Birth” section, provide your complete address with province/city, district/ward, and commune/ward, or just select the province/city if you were born abroad.

You are not required to fill out the fields without the red “*” mark.

In the “PERMANENT RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS” section, provide your complete address with province/city, district/ward, and commune/ward, including house number, street name, neighborhood/ward, and apartment number (if applicable).

In the “CURRENT ADDRESS” section, specify your current residential address (temporary residence). If you live at the permanent address mentioned above, select the option “Same as above.”

In the “OCCUPATION/INFORMATION OF THE REPRESENTATIVE” section, provide the details of your representative, if applicable.

In the “CITIZEN’S REQUEST” section, you can request confirmation of your ID card number if it is linked to important documents. You can also opt for expedited delivery of your CCCD card when it is ready.

You can only select from the pre-determined dates and times listed in the schedule, which may vary depending on when you submit your application.

Note: It is advisable to choose a time slot with fewer applicants as each morning/afternoon session can only accommodate a maximum of 150 applicants.

After entering the confirmation code, you will receive a code from the system containing the details of your appointment, including the date and time.

In the search bar, type in the name of the police station in your district (e.g., “CA quan 4” for District 4), and then click “Follow.”

After clicking “Follow,” you will receive a notification message.

Note:

These methods are applicable in Ho Chi Minh City as of July 2020.

Bring your old ID card and household registration book when you visit the police station.

Currently, only a few areas offer online registration via Zalo, such as District 4, District 11, and Tan Phu District. When searching for the police station’s name, make sure to click on the “Official Account” to ensure you are interacting with the official account of the Ministry of Public Security.
