1 Domestic Black Pepper Prices
Today’s black pepper prices in the domestic market remain stable, ranging from 77,000 – 81,000 VND/kg in key growing areas.
Here are the latest prices from various provinces:
- Dong Nai has the lowest price at 77,000 VND/kg
- Gia Lai is at 78,000 VND/kg
- Dak Lak and Dak Nong are at 79,000 VND/kg
- Binh Phuoc is at 80,000 VND/kg
- Ba Ria – Vung Tau has the highest price at 81,000 VND/kg
According to businesses, with the current situation, while black pepper prices are increasing, farmers are not benefiting significantly as most of the crop was sold at the beginning of the season. On the other hand, businesses are facing losses due to increased freight rates and additional costs incurred to ensure compliance with pandemic-related production and business activities.

In the latest update, Vietnam’s export prices for black and white pepper increased by 50 USD/ton, according to ipcnet data. Specifically, black pepper reached 4,190 USD/ton, while white pepper stood at 4,290 USD/ton. Compared to the beginning of the month, these prices have increased by 165 USD/ton.
Export activities have been slowing down month by month, mainly due to the impact of Covid-19 and the persistently high sea freight rates.
