VNPost’s Value-added Services
- Acceptance at the address: Vietnam Post will come to the customer’s address to receive the mail according to the signed contract or upon request.
- Packaging: Based on customer requirements, Vietnam Post will provide packaging and package the mail accordingly.
- COD Delivery (Cash on Delivery): Vietnam Post collects a sum of money from the recipient and will pay the sender in cash or via bank transfer.
- Declaration of Value (V): In case the mail is lost or damaged due to Vietnam Post’s fault, the post office will compensate the customer according to the declared value of the mail at the time of acceptance.
- Withdrawal of Mail: Stop delivering the mail to return it to the sender. This service only applies to parcels that have not exceeded the time limit or have not been confiscated or destroyed according to the law.
- Change of Recipient’s Name and Address: Vietnam Post supports delivering the mail to a recipient/address that is different from the information on the mail. This service only applies to parcels that have not exceeded the time limit or have not been confiscated or destroyed according to the law.

2 Tracking VNPost Shipments
Track VNPost Shipments on the VNPost Website
When you ship with VNPost, the staff will give you a waybill with detailed information about your shipment, including a 13-digit barcode containing the mail code.
Then, access the VNPost website and enter the waybill number in the search box to track your shipment.
Track VNPost Shipments via Text Message
To check a VNPost waybill via text message, simply compose a message following the syntax provided. The message will then reply with the information about your shipment.
Note: You will be charged a service fee of VND 1,000 per text message for shipment tracking. This method is not feasible if you want to track multiple waybills simultaneously. Rates are for reference only as of December 18, 2020, and can be found at ems.com.vn.
