Mosquitoes locate their sting by the amount of CO2 that the person or animal exhales. Therefore, mosquitoes will be sucked into the trap due to the amount of CO2 that the trap produces, then get stuck in the trap and cannot fly out.
To make this trap you need to prepare:
– 1 1.5 liter plastic bottle.
– 50g brown sugar (if you don't have brown sugar, you can replace it with granulated sugar).
– 5 g of yeast (or baking soda, buy at the bakery shop).
– Warm water, newspaper.
First, you cut 1/3 of the water bottle (Figure 1), then, add 200 ml of warm water and 50 g of sugar and stir until dissolved (Figure 2). Next, wait for the water to cool a bit, add 5 g of yeast or baking soda, then turn the mouth of the bottle upside down and tape it back (pictures 3, 4).
