1. How to Make Twisted Paper Roses
Common Materials for Making Roses:
- Crepe paper strips at least 40 cm long
- Crepe paper
- Binding thread

- Tape
- Cloth tape
Instructions:
Step 1: First, fold the crepe paper diagonally for the first time, folding it over by 1-1.5 cm.

Fold it in half and tie it securely to the bent end of the wire stem. Alternatively, you can use fabric or cotton to stuff the inside and make the receptacle fuller.
Step 5: Take the innermost petal from Step 1 and stretch the paper in the middle. When stretching the paper, use only the fleshy part of your thumbs to create a natural-looking curve in the petal, rather than a sharp fold in the middle. This technique will make the flower look more natural.
Step 6: Wrap this petal around the tied paper, then use thread to secure it in place.
Step 7: For the second and subsequent layers, use smaller petals. When layering the petals, stretch them first, or stretch them after layering. The second layer consists of two petals placed opposite each other, rolled, and tied with thread one by one.
To make the remaining layers look neater and the finished flower look tidier, use glue to attach the petals instead of thread. This will also prevent the thread from showing on the outer petals.
Step 8: For the third layer, use three petals. First, stretch the middle of each petal to create a certain amount of fullness, then bend the tips of the petals on one or both sides, or bend them evenly.
Overlap the three petals, stacking them one on top of the other, and bend them to follow the shape of the flower. Use white glue to secure them in place.
