To prepare the necessary documents for a single status confirmation, you will need the following papers:

Step 1: Prepare the Necessary Documents
Gather all the required documents as mentioned above and submit them to the competent authority.
Step 2: Submit the Application to the Competent Authority
All the documents you present must be valid to prove your marital status (divorced or spouse has passed away) by obtaining an extract of the court decision that has come into legal effect regarding the divorce or a copy of the death certificate.
Upon receiving the valid documents, the Chairman of the Commune-level People’s Committee or the consular official shall sign and issue the Single Status Confirmation (according to the prescribed form). In cases where verification is required, the process shall take five days.
Step 3: Processing and Issuing the Confirmation to the Citizen
The justice-household official has the obligation to check the validity of the documents. Once the documents are valid, the official shall submit them to the Chairman of the Commune-level People’s Committee for signing and issuing a single status confirmation to the applicant. The content of the confirmation must accurately state the marital status and the purpose of use of the applicant. According to regulations, within three days from the date of submission of the application, you will receive the single status confirmation.
Note: If the applicant requests a re-issuance of the single status confirmation for a different purpose (or simply because the previous confirmation has expired), according to the regulations in Article 23 of the Decree, the previously issued confirmation must be returned.
