Do you remember back in 2017 when a particular brand of tea-flavored bottled water created a buzz in the online community? This water was specially imported from Japan and sold for a premium price of 60,000 VND per bottle, which was quite expensive compared to regular bottled water. On top of that, consumers had to search for specialty stores that imported Japanese products to get their hands on it – quite a hassle!
Fast forward to today, and you no longer need to spend a small fortune or go through all that trouble to enjoy a similar unique drinking experience. Suntory has just launched two new flavored water products right here in Vietnam, and they won’t cost you more than 10,000 VND per bottle.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on both of these Good Mood drinks, and I’m excited to share my thoughts on them with you. Be sure to check out the video below as well!
1. Packaging and Taste
At first glance, the bottles look just like any other water bottle you’d find on the market. But once you twist off the cap, you’re greeted by a burst of fragrant yogurt and orange aromas. In fact, the scents are so accurate that if you were blindfolded, you might think you were smelling actual yogurt or oranges! As for the taste, it’s a delicate balance of yogurt and orange flavors, although I found it to be a tad on the mild side.
You might be wondering why Suntory even bothered to create these flavored water drinks. Why not just stick to plain water? Well, there’s actually a very good reason for it.
We’ve all been there – that moment when you’re parched, you open the fridge, and you’re faced with a choice between a boring bottle of water and a sugary soft drink. More often than not, we end up choosing the soft drink because, let’s face it, water can be a bit bland and unexciting. But making this choice day after day can have serious consequences for our health, including obesity.
That’s where Good Mood water comes in. With its yogurt and orange flavors (as well as other flavors in the range), it provides a tasty alternative to plain water, helping you kick your soft drink habit to the curb.
What’s more, these drinks are free from artificial colors, and the sweetness comes from a natural source – stevia, a plant-based sweetener. And the best part? Each bottle only contains around 20 calories, so you don’t have to worry about packing on the pounds even if you have more than one!
It’s a win-win situation – you get to quench your thirst, enjoy a delicious drink, and take care of your health all at the same time. But what did the general public think of these drinks?
2. Public Opinion
I decided to conduct a little experiment and asked some of my colleagues to try these drinks. I blindfolded them and had them smell and taste the water, and their reactions were captured on video, which you can watch below.

While some of my colleagues weren’t fans, the majority actually enjoyed the flavors and had no problem drinking them. Everyone agreed that the orange-flavored water smelled like diluted orange juice or vitamin C tablets, while the yogurt-flavored water was a bit more subtle and was likened to strawberry, peach, or Yakult drinks.
These yogurt and orange-flavored waters are a fun and tasty alternative to plain water. Instead of reaching for a soft drink, you can now opt for a delicious and healthy beverage that won’t compromise your wellness.
