1 Domestic Pepper Prices
Today’s pepper prices in the domestic market range from VND 76,000 – 80,000/kg, unchanged from yesterday at the key growing areas.
Specifically, the latest pepper prices in the following provinces are:
- Dong Nai: VND 76,000/kg (lowest)
- Gia Lai: VND 77,000/kg
- Dak Lak and Dak Nong: VND 78,000/kg
- Binh Phuoc: VND 79,000/kg
- Ba Ria – Vung Tau: VND 80,000/kg (highest)
Given the current situation, the pepper industry is striving to find sustainable development by encouraging organic production methods. Abundant supply and high quality have made Vietnam an ideal location for both domestic and foreign companies to establish deep processing factories for spices, including pepper.

2 Export Pepper Information
Vietnam maintains a pepper-growing area of 130,000 hectares, with an annual output of 180,000 tons, accounting for 40% of global production. Vietnamese pepper is now present in 110 countries and territories worldwide. The volume of exported pepper currently accounts for 60% of the world’s exported pepper.
The average export price of Vietnamese pepper in August 2021 reached USD 3,736/ton, the highest price since January 2018. This price marked a 3.4% increase compared to July 2021 and a significant 49.4% jump from August last year.
