What is Tam Tai?
Tam Tai can be understood simply as a three-year consecutive streak of bad luck. For an individual, this occurs once every twelve years.
An ancient saying goes: “Three combinations form Tam Tai”. The calculation of Tam Tai is based on the three-combination age groups of the Chinese zodiac, meaning that people born in the three compatible zodiac years will experience Tam Tai together during a certain period.
Based on the twelve zodiac animals, Tam Tai is calculated as follows:
– The years of the Tỵ, Dậu, and Sửu zodiac signs encounter Tam Tai in the Hợi, Tý, and Sửu years.
– The years of the Hợi, Mão, and Mùi zodiac signs encounter Tam Tai in the Tỵ, Ngọ, and Mùi years.
– The years of the Dần, Ngọ, and Tuất zodiac signs encounter Tam Tai in the Thân, Dậu, and Tuất years.
– The years of the Thân, Tý, and Thìn zodiac signs encounter Tam Tai in the Dần, Mão, and Thìn years.
Three ages encounter Tam Tai in the year Ất Tỵ 2025
The year 2025, the Year of the Snake, or Ất Tỵ in the Vietnamese lunar calendar, holds the element of Fire – Phú Đăng Hỏa (the light of a lamp). According to the five elements philosophy, the Fire element is incompatible with the Metal and Water elements but complements the Wood and Earth elements.
During the year Ất Tỵ 2025, the ages of Hợi, Mão, and Mùi will enter the first year of Tam Tai.
– Hợi includes the years: Kỷ Hợi 1959, Tân Hợi 1971, Quý Hợi 1983, and Ất Hợi 1995.
– Mão includes the years: Quý Mão 1963, Ất Mão 1975, Đinh Mão 1987, and Kỷ Mão 1999.
– Mùi includes the years: Ất Mùi 1955, Đinh Mùi 1967, Kỷ Mùi 1979, Tân Mùi 1991, and Quý Mùi 2003.
During the Tam Tai years, one should be cautious of potential misfortunes such as disputes, disharmony with others, illnesses, business difficulties, losses, and unstable careers.
The first year of Tam Tai is known as Hỏa Tai. It is believed that starting something significant during this year can lead to losses and setbacks. It is advised that those experiencing this limit should refrain from major undertakings such as weddings, building houses, or making significant investments.
The second year of Tam Tai is Thủy Tai. In this year, it is recommended to not pause any ongoing endeavors as it may be challenging to resume or complete them later.
The final year of Tam Tai is Phong Tai, considered the lightest year of the three. During this period, individuals will encounter fewer obstacles and begin to embrace better fortune and opportunities for advancement.
