Recently, on her personal page, Thien An shared a post explaining why she decided to change her look with a new haircut. In reality, the beauty queen’s decision to cut her hair was not for a film role or to experiment with a new style.
The 2000-born beauty queen revealed that she cut her long hair to donate it to cancer patients. Thien An disclosed that she had been contemplating this act for six years and finally took the plunge after completing some significant projects. She cut her hair and donated it to the Vietnam Breast Cancer Network (BCNV)
Speaking about cutting her sleek long hair, the beauty queen from Long An shared: “Having fought alongside cancer patients, I understand that they experience significant hair loss during chemotherapy. A beautiful wig can bring a lot of encouragement and optimism to these patients. A positive mindset is always a wonderful medicine to fight the disease. That’s why I’ve been contemplating donating my hair for the past six years, and now is the right time to make it happen.”
The 2022 Miss Peace Vietnam also expressed her hope that her action would bring joy to patients and spread positivity within the community.

Recently, Thien An shared some insights with Eva.vn about this decision and offered some hair care tips based on her personal experience.
Did you notice anything interesting about your hair before and after the haircut, Thien An?
Since I was little, I’ve been a bit vain, so long hair has been a part of me for a long time. I thought long hair suited me, so when I cut it, I initially felt very strange. This is also the first time my hair has been this short, so I’m quite interested in my new look. Many people have complimented my new hairstyle, saying it not only suits me but also carries a special meaning. That’s why I feel very comfortable and confident with this haircut.

What is your daily hair care routine, Thien An?
I’m very diligent about washing and conditioning my hair with my favorite products. If you follow me on social media, you’ll know what I’m using. My secret is to deep condition my hair twice a week and use vitamin B1 or coconut oil. Vitamin B1 has potent antioxidant properties, protecting the hair follicles and reducing hair loss. It also acts as an important catalyst, accelerating metabolism and promoting healthy hair growth, making hair grow faster and thicker.
She has meticulously cared for her hair over the years, enhancing her sweet beauty.
Coconut oil, on the other hand, is rich in fatty acids, chlorides, betaine, etc., allowing vitamins E and K to penetrate the hair roots, nourishing the hair and making it soft and strong. Additionally, coconut oil contains lauric and acrylic acids, natural antibiotics that kill bacteria and moisturize the scalp, effectively addressing dandruff issues. Lastly, don’t forget to blow-dry your hair after washing and use a leave-in conditioner.
The beauty queen also pays attention to her diet to enhance her overall beauty.
In your opinion, Thien An, is it easier to maintain long or short hair? Why?
I think short hair is easier to manage. Washing, conditioning, and blow-drying short hair takes less time. However, there’s one issue that I think everyone faces, which is that short hair tends to stick out, so I have to be diligent about blow-drying and curling it to make it look prettier. My short haircut can be styled in many ways, too; I just need to be willing to learn, and I can achieve a lovely, dynamic, and fresh look without spending too much time!
