Hằng Nga (born 1984, Ho Chi Minh City) is a familiar face in the prime-time films of Vietnam’s Television Station such as: “Let’s Love Peacefully”, “Rainbow of Love”, “Spring Swallow”, “A Lifetime of Grudges”, “Warm Fire”, and “New Year’s Burning Osin”… Hang Nga is not famous for her beautiful or wealthy roles, but is loved by the audience as the image of a carefree, sloppy “housemaid” in many popular television films.

She confessed: “I’m from Ho Chi Minh City, so when I acted in this film, I had to learn to speak Northern. In the movie, I had to wear fake teeth, which made it difficult to speak, and there were many scenes where I had to eat, so I had to act naturally.
Although many people commented that this role was very charming and unique, I personally felt too unconfident because I thought I looked too ugly.”
Before returning to acting, Hằng Nga took a four-year break to focus on her business and family. When she returned to the small screen, she continuously appeared in blockbuster film projects, especially those featuring housemaid or servant characters.
Hằng Nga admitted that she has a vast portfolio of housemaid roles. However, she still wants to challenge herself with diverse characters to showcase her acting range: “I have a ‘huge’ collection of 40-50 housemaid roles, but this particular role is the ugliest of them all. Sometimes, I even dream about it and worry if the audience will accept it.”
