From April to October every year, Ba Vi becomes an ideal “heat escape” for tourists. In recent days, a white sea of clouds has continuously appeared, creating a poetically beautiful and romantic scene.

On July 14, Vuong Loc (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi), a passionate photographer, started his journey at 3 am to reach the Ba Vi National Park in time for sunrise.
“I left at 3 am and reached the entrance of the Ba Vi National Park at 5 am. At that time, many young people were already there, queuing to buy tickets. At 5:30 am, the sea of clouds began to appear near the 1,100-meter mark,” said Loc.
“If we compare it to Ta Xua, the clouds there would be thicker and fluffier. However, Ba Vi has the advantage of being a quick and convenient getaway. In the morning, the air in Ba Vi is cool and pleasant, a stark contrast to the muggy heat of the city center. Being here, I feel like I’m in Da Lat,” Loc shared.
The Ba Vi National Park is located about 60km from Hanoi’s city center. Visitors can drive towards the Thang Long Boulevard or take the National Highway 32. If traveling by bus, take the 74 My Dinh – Xuan Khanh or the 71 My Dinh – Son Tay bus, and then transfer to the 110 bus to the Ba Vi National Park at the final stop.

Hai Duong from Ung Hoa, Hanoi, has been to the Ba Vi National Park four times, but July 14 was the first time he witnessed the sea of clouds. He also started his journey at 3 am to arrive at sunrise.
“The morning weather was beautiful, cool, and the sea of clouds was stunning, creating an ideal backdrop for visitors to admire and take photos. Unfortunately, it started drizzling around noon, so my group couldn’t stay longer,” said Duong.

According to the experience of successful “cloud hunters” in Ba Vi, the sea of clouds usually appears if it rained the day before and the weather forecast for the day is clear. Luck also plays an important role.
