Tan Hoang humorously shared with Tan Beo: “This machine cost VND 6.5 million. When asked who I was buying it for, I said it was for my grandfather, who is also an artist. The store owner asked for his name, and when I said Tan Beo, they didn’t charge me.”

“They waived the fee when they heard it was for Tan Beo. I care for him, but in the end, I didn’t have to spend a dime. They care for him even more than I do,” Tan Hoang added.

In September, a video of Tan Beo looking frail and eating charity food circulated on social media, sparking various rumors and discussions about the comedian. Tan Hoang clarified that his colleague was well taken care of by his family and that Tan Beo would rather sell his assets than accept financial help from his audience.

Tan Hoang expressed: “There is nothing wrong with eating charity food, but Tan Beo is not in such a situation. In fact, he even donated an additional ton of rice, fish sauce, salt, sugar, and milk to the place where he received treatment. His wife took care of everything. Tan Beo also contributed VND 10 million from his pocket to buy food for the patients there.”

“Tan Beo would rather sell his assets to pay for his treatment than accept money from anyone. His friends include many successful individuals who offered to give him money, but he refused. So, they bought him air conditioners and other appliances instead, which is why his room is full of machines,” Tan Hoang shared.
