Stainless steel cookware, whether used on a gas or induction stove, can still develop stubborn stains and yellowing on the bottom if not cleaned regularly and properly. Ms. Loan Vo shares a simple yet effective trick to clean stainless steel cookware without the risk of scratching or damaging the pots and pans, using easily accessible household ingredients.

Prepare a mixture of 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and the juice of 1 lemon.

Mix the ingredients thoroughly.

Apply the mixture evenly to the outer surface of the stainless steel cookware and let it sit for about 60 minutes.

After the waiting period, scrub the surface gently. This process should remove 80-90% of the stains. For more stubborn stains, apply a little more elbow grease and scrub vigorously to achieve a spotless finish.
