Bình Phương shared: “Ever since Tiến’s passing, my mother-in-law has been messaging some of his family and friends, saying: ‘Phương has removed Tiến’s altar and no longer worships him. She has a new husband and a new house’. Many people have taken screenshots of these messages and sent them to me. (I’m only sharing a few messages because there are too many to share).”
My mother-in-law even spoke as if she ‘knew all along’, claiming that I’m living with someone else – just because I posted a few photos on Facebook with friends and family. I don’t want to argue about what’s right or wrong, I just want to share and clarify once and for all, so that those who care can see the truth.”

Furthermore, Đức Tiến’s wife advised her mother-in-law to stop spreading false information about her. Bình Phương stated: “If you’re personally spreading these rumors, I advise you to stop. There are laws and consequences for such actions. To clarify, I didn’t sue my mother-in-law, I filed a request for the court to intervene and distribute the inheritance according to the will.”

Most recently, on May 15, 2025, at a working session, the judge suggested that the two parties reconcile, but it was unsuccessful.
As Bình Phương坚持her original lawsuit, while Đức Tiến’s mother坚持her counterclaim, the reconciliation failed. The two parties agreed to choose a valuation unit to determine the value of the disputed assets in preparation for the trial.
