2. Duplicating a Slide

To duplicate a slide:
Step 1: Right-click on the slide you want to duplicate.
Step 2: Select Duplicate Slide. A copy of the selected slide will appear below it.
3. Arranging Slides
There are four ways to arrange slides in PowerPoint:
- Arrange slides in thumbnail view
If you want to move a slide to a different position, simply click and hold the slide, then drag it to the desired location.
- Arrange slides in outline view
In outline view, the slides are displayed in a hierarchical format. You can click and drag the slides to rearrange them.
- Arrange slides in compact form
In the slide sorter view, slides are displayed horizontally. You can click and drag the slides to change their position.
4. Deleting a Slide

5. Adding Notes to PowerPoint Slides
Speaker notes allow you to add additional information or reminders for yourself while giving a presentation. These notes are not visible to the audience. Adding notes is useful when you want to include supplemental content without searching for it during the presentation.
Step 1: To add notes, go to the View tab and select Notes.
Step 2: Click on the Click to add notes box and enter your notes. You can resize the notes window by hovering over the separator until a two-way arrow appears, then dragging the mouse.
Step 3: To view and edit notes, go to the View tab and select Notes Page.
6. Creating Slide Sections
In large presentations, it’s helpful to divide slides into sections for better organization and management. Slide sections allow you to group related slides together.
To create slide sections:
Step 1: Select the slide you want to include in a section. Go to the Home tab and select Section > Add Section.
Step 2: A Rename Section window will appear. Enter a name for the section and select Rename.
Step 3: Repeat the above steps to create additional slide sections.
If you want to rename or delete a section, right-click on the section name and select the desired action. You can also remove all sections if needed.
