Exfoliating the skin helps to remove dead skin cells and reveal a fresh, radiant complexion. However, commercial exfoliators can sometimes be too harsh for the skin. In this case, it is best to prioritize natural ingredients.
Oats
Oats gently slough away dead skin cells. They also have anti-inflammatory properties and can soften the skin, leaving it calm, soft, and smooth. When combined with honey and yogurt, it enhances the effectiveness as honey is a natural moisturizer that helps to hydrate the skin and has a mild natural whitening effect. Yogurt or buttermilk contains essential bacteria that produce lactic acid, aiding in exfoliation and gradual removal of dead skin cells. Yogurt also helps to keep the skin healthy and supple.
Ingredients:
2-3 tablespoons of finely ground oats
2 tablespoons of pure honey
Enough yogurt or buttermilk to form a creamy mixture
¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
Add the ground oats, cinnamon, honey, and enough buttermilk/yogurt to form a creamy mixture. Yogurt has a thick and smooth texture, both regular and Greek yogurt also work well.
Cleanse your face and massage this mixture onto your face. It can also be used as a full-body exfoliator before showering.
Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse off. Incorporate into your skincare and body care routine regularly.
Sea Salt and Olive Oil
Sea salt is a common ingredient in daily meals, and it can also be used to cleanse the skin. Olive oil provides nourishment that penetrates deep into the skin after removing dead skin, leaving it softer and smoother. Combining salt and olive oil will effectively cleanse your skin.
Ingredients: 50g sea salt and 50ml olive oil. These ingredients need to be mixed well before applying.
Apply the exfoliating mixture to your entire body and massage gently in circular motions for 5-10 minutes. Then, rinse off with water. Only perform this 1-2 times a week, and after a few times, you will notice your skin becoming brighter and smoother.
Granulated Sugar, Rose Petals, and Dried Orange Peel Powder
Granulated sugar exfoliates the skin, while vitamin C-rich orange helps fade dark spots and nourishes the skin for a brighter complexion. When combined with rose petals and orange peel powder, it creates an effective facial scrub.
Ingredients: 3 teaspoons of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of dried orange peel powder, 1 teaspoon of rose petal powder, fresh milk.
Instructions: Mix the granulated sugar, rose petal powder, and dried orange peel powder with enough fresh milk to create a smooth exfoliating mixture. Then, apply the mixture evenly on your face and gently massage for about 5 minutes. Finally, rinse off for a complete skincare routine.
