To create the most prosperous feng shui space when planting trees, pay attention to the following important details:
People with the Wood or Fire element are usually the most suitable for planting money trees, because according to the principle of the five elements intergeneration, Wood generates Fire, which is an excellent combination.
People with the Earth element are considered as “nurturing soil” for plants to grow strongly. Therefore, when choosing a pot or a container, prioritize colors like red, pink, orange, or purple – all colors of the Fire element, which have the effect of supporting intergeneration and stimulating the vitality of the plants.
According to feng shui beliefs, choosing a white or yellow pot will bring the best support. Because both white and yellow are related to elements like Metal and Water. Metal generates Water, and Water generates Wood, which helps balance the five elements in the space and create a positive environment for plant growth.
Planting and care techniques:
Propagation method: To propagate a money tree, you can do it by cutting leaves from the mother plant. Choose dark green leaves near the base and cut the entire leaf stalk. Dip the stalk in rooting hormone, then place it in a pot of soil for rooting, water to create humidity. After about 4 weeks, the leaves will develop roots and form a new plant, which will become a mature plant after about 1 year.
Soil selection: The soil should be rich in organic matter and have good drainage. You can mix the soil with rice husk, crushed charcoal, to create a porous condition for the soil. The use of microbial soil is also a good option to optimize the plant’s growth without requiring much care. Change the soil about once every 3 months to provide enough nutrients for the plant.
Light: Money trees prefer bright light, but can still grow well in shade. Place the plant in evenly distributed light, avoid direct sunlight. If placed outdoors, place it under the shade of other trees or in a place with a canopy to protect the plant from direct sunlight and wind.
Watering: Money trees like water but do not tolerate excessive watering. Water by spraying on the leaves, stem, and roots of the plant.
Temperature: The ideal temperature for the plant is between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius. Below 18 degrees Celsius, the leaves may turn yellow and fall off. Below 5 degrees Celsius, the plant may die.
In addition, regularly clean the dust on the leaves, stem, and around the pot, remove dry and withered leaves to ensure the strongest growth of the plant.
