Drinking water from a ceramic cup is convenient and delicious, and it gives a clean feeling. However, when using a ceramic cup, you may often encounter the problem of long-standing beverage stains on the bottom, causing yellowing.
These stains not only make the cup look ugly but also pose a health risk due to the accumulation of bacteria.
These stains are difficult to remove even with dishwashing liquid. So what should you do?
1. Make use of coffee grounds
You take out some coffee grounds and sun-dry them or put them in the oven to dry thoroughly.
Next, you put some coffee grounds into the cup and use a dishwashing sponge to scrub vigorously. Note that you scrub it dry without using water.
You rinse the cup with clean water, and look, the stains have disappeared.
2. Use a little toothpaste
You squeeze a little toothpaste onto a piece of tissue.
Now, you rub that tissue onto the inner surface of the cup, especially the stained area, and then rinse it with clean water. Toothpaste helps remove stains and long-standing marks on the cup more effectively than dishwashing liquid.
Look, the cup is clean and shiny again.
3. Use a mixture of salt and vinegar
Simple trick: You mix a small amount of salt with vinegar in a 1:1 ratio, then use a cloth soaked in the mixture to scrub the surface of the dirty ceramic cup. Repeat the process of soaking the cleaning mixture and scrubbing several times for 5 minutes. Then, rinse the cup with water, and all the stains will be completely removed.
