Meet Pamela, a vibrant 74-year-old, and her granddaughter Brittany, aged 39.
1. Cleanse with Warm Water
“Remove makeup and impurities with a gentle cleanser and warm water in the evening. Avoid hot water. Use your fingertips to massage gently in circular motions, avoiding harsh scrubbing,” shares Pamela, her secret to nightly skincare. This wise woman also advises against using towels to rub the face; instead, pat dry gently with a soft cloth to absorb excess moisture.
Post-cleansing, Pamela nurtures her face, neck, and chest with hydrating products. She’s a long-time advocate of retinol, crediting it for enhancing skin tone, minimizing wrinkles, and maintaining skin firmness.
2. Skip Morning Cleansers
Pamela starts her mornings with a splash of warm water, followed by patting her face dry and applying daytime moisturizers. Omitting morning cleansers helps preserve the skin’s natural oils, reducing exposure to harsh chemicals.
3. Avoid Sunbathing
“A tan might look appealing, but over time, it leads to age spots and wrinkles. While aging naturally brings wrinkles and spots, excessive sun exposure accelerates these changes,” she explains, emphasizing her sun-avoidance habit.

Pamela often receives compliments for her youthful appearance, defying her age with radiant skin and a fit physique.
4. Stay Active
Pamela maintains her agility and health through stretching exercises and daily walks. “My little dog insists on a 3-4 km walk daily. Since adopting him, I’ve effortlessly lost nearly 5 kg,” she reveals.
5. Embrace Healthy Eating
Despite a sweet tooth, Pamela prioritizes healthy eating. “Breakfast might be an avocado, a large seed cracker with olive oil, salt, and pepper, followed by yogurt or fresh cheese with mixed berries, honey, and cinnamon. Another day, it could be hard cheese on a seed cracker or leftover chicken thigh from the night before,” she describes.

Pamela believes age is just a number.
Lunch mirrors breakfast in variety, always rich in protein. Dinner typically features soup, salad, or zucchini noodles. “I consume ample cheese, beans, nuts, and chicken, favoring organic options,” Pamela notes, highlighting her dietary preferences.
