1. Maintain the appropriate frequency of shampooing

It is recommended to shampoo your hair about 3-4 times a week to take care of your hair. When shampooing, use lukewarm water to protect your scalp and hair. Shampooing too often can strip your hair of its natural moisture, making it dry and tangled.

Choose shampoos and conditioners specifically designed for curly hair. If possible, prioritize products with natural ingredients, avoid artificial fragrances, and excessive foam. Avoid using shampoos that contain sulfates or silicones.

2. Avoid brushing with a wide-tooth comb

This can cause your curls to lose their shape and become frizzy. Instead, use a wide-tooth comb, a paddle brush, or your fingers to detangle your hair.

3. Avoid heat styling

Frequent heat styling can make your hair dry and brittle. After washing your hair, gently squeeze out excess water with a towel and then wrap your hair with the towel. The towel will gradually absorb the water from your hair, making it dry faster.

4. Regularly trim your hair

Regular hair trims help remove split ends and maintain healthy hair. Depending on the length and style of your hair, you can trim your hair every 2-3 months.

5. Hair masks

– Banana and olive oil mask: Bananas provide vitamins and minerals (such as potassium) that moisturize your hair, keeping it strong and balancing the pH of your scalp. Olive oil is rich in healthy fats and vitamin E, making your hair shiny and smooth.

Mash a ripe banana until smooth, then mix it with a tablespoon of olive oil. Apply this mixture to your hair for 10-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.

– Egg yolk mask: Egg yolks contain vitamins such as vitamin A and E, biotin, and folate, which promote hair growth and nourish your hair. After shampooing, apply the mask to the ends of your hair. After about 30 minutes, rinse with cool water, as hot water can cause the egg to coagulate.

– Brown sugar and coconut oil mask: Brown sugar can exfoliate dead skin cells from your scalp, while coconut oil can stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss. Moreover, this combination has great moisturizing properties, nourishes your hair, increases its shine, and prevents split ends.

Simply mix 2 tablespoons of brown sugar with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply this mixture to your hair after shampooing and gently massage your scalp. Rinse thoroughly with water and continue with your regular conditioner.
