Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar
The natural acids in apple cider vinegar are believed to help improve the texture of the skin. In addition, apple cider vinegar helps restore the pH balance of the skin and helps restore the skin’s natural protective abilities.
Apples are a natural source of malic acid, which works to smooth the skin gently and without causing irritation.
Combining apple cider vinegar with apples helps kill bacteria, remove dirt, excess oil, and makeup. It is especially beneficial for evening skincare, especially if you have freckles or sun-damaged skin.
You should use raw, organic apple cider vinegar to treat your skin at home. Apple cider vinegar is essentially just fresh apple juice that has been fermented with yeast and bacteria. But only raw, unfiltered vinegar has these amazing properties. Although sterilized ACV still contains acid, which is great for at-home peeling, it does not contain good bacteria.
How to make an apple cider vinegar peel mixture at home
Ingredients:
– 1 teaspoon of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar
– 1 tablespoon of apple sauce, preferably organic or homemade
Remove makeup and cleanse the face. Then, apply the mask to the face and neck with clean fingers, avoiding the eye area. Lie down for about 10-15 minutes to avoid dripping. Then remove the mask with a soft cloth and cool water, and apply moisturizer.
Apple cider vinegar peel for sensitive skin
For those with sensitive skin, apple cider vinegar can lead to irritation and, worse, severe burns. If you have sensitive skin or if you notice redness and irritation, you need to dilute the apple cider vinegar.
If you still feel a burning sensation, it is best to skip the ACV mask and use a gentler peeling method.
Note:
– Use at-home peeling products once or twice a week.
– Apply a thin layer to clean, damp skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
– Follow with a gentle moisturizer or serum to lock in moisture. Discard any leftovers and make a fresh batch each time.
– Always apply sunscreen for 2-3 days after peeling.
