Pulse Points
A woman’s body has several hot spots, including pulse points at the wrists, neck, inside of the elbows, and cleavage. Spraying perfume on these parts will emit a more potent fragrance. When you spray perfume at these locations, the scent will spread across your body and last for an extended period, even up to a day if you avoid strenuous activities that cause sweating.
Right After a Shower
To implement this method, you must let the perfume dry on your skin before getting dressed. This way, the fragrance will last the longest on your skin. Your skin is clean, having washed away dirt and grime. Simultaneously, your pores are open, facilitating the absorption of the perfume into your skin.
Different Types of Perfumes Require Different Application Techniques
Depending on the type of perfume you have, you can choose the number of sprays. For instance, when using an eau de toilette, spray a maximum of three times a day, once every three to four hours. If you have an eau de parfum, it typically lasts around five hours after each spray, so two sprays per day should suffice.
Spray a Little on Your Hairbrush
Hair can lock in scent, but spraying directly on your hair can dry it out. Instead, try spraying a little on your brush and gently brushing your hair to release the fragrance.
Avoid Rubbing the Wrists Together
Contrary to popular belief, rubbing the wrists together after spraying perfume does not help the scent last longer; instead, it causes the fragrance to dissipate faster.
Combine Perfume with Moisturizer
A handy tip is to combine your perfume with a moisturizer. Apply the moisturizer to a specific area of your body, such as your neck or wrists. Then, spray your perfume over the moisturizer.
Use Your Ring Finger to Awaken the Scent
Similar to how you use your ring finger for eye cream, use this finger to gently press twice in different areas. Distribute the perfume evenly and thinly across your body for a smart application.
Opt for perfumes with higher concentrations, such as Eau de Parfum (EDP) or Parfum, as they contain a higher percentage of essential oils, ranging from 15% to 40%, ensuring the scent lasts for 6 to 8 hours.
In summary, target the pulse points on the body, where the temperature is higher, such as behind the ears, neck, wrists, and back of the neck. These areas have thinner and warmer skin, allowing the scent to linger. Additionally, spraying behind your ears, on your neck, elbows, and behind your knees can also prolong the fragrance.
