A new pickleball set has caused a stir online, with netizens criticizing it as inappropriate and revealing for a sports setting.
The images were shared across various online groups, sparking criticism over the woman’s choice of attire. However, some astute observers noticed discrepancies between the two infamous images, suspecting that they were manipulated.
Upon investigation, the woman in the photos was identified as Tran Ngoc Hien, a 25-year-old from Nam Dinh province, currently living and working in Hanoi.
Ngoc Hien expressed her exasperation at the situation, stating, “I’ve been extremely exhausted by this issue over the past two days.”
She asserted that the photos depicting her in revealing attire on the pickleball court were manipulated. In the original photos, she was dressed modestly.
“I’ve only been playing pickleball for four days. On that day, I took some photos and posted two original photos on Facebook. Friends in my group saw them and edited the photos as a joke, but they only shared them within our group. Unexpectedly, someone took the edited photo and posted it in another group, claiming that I was dressed inappropriately,” explained Ngoc Hien.
Upon discovering the leaked edited photo, Ngoc Hien immediately commented on the post, clarifying the situation. However, the images had already spread widely across social media, and she was unable to contain the situation.
“I was surprised to see the edited photo being shared everywhere, and everyone thought it was real. I messaged many people, explaining that it was a manipulated image, and asked them to take down their posts. I even posted a clarification on my personal page, but some people continued to spread the edited photos intentionally. These past two days have been exhausting and frustrating,” Hien shared.
Ngoc Hien felt uncomfortable with the dissemination of her personal images, which were misrepresented. However, as the situation escalated, she chose to refrain from further arguments and limited her exposure to negative comments to protect her mental well-being.
Ngoc Hien holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Industrial Economics and Technology (Hanoi) and currently works in the real estate industry. Passionate about sports, she has been practicing archery, pilates, and dancing for several years, in addition to her newfound interest in pickleball.
