The eldest member of BlackPink, Jisoo, has been crowned the ‘Most Beautiful Woman in the World for 2024’ by UK-based magazine, Nubia. This is the third time that Jisoo has clinched the top spot, beating out other global stars. Jisoo, born in 1995, is a renowned South Korean singer and actress. She rose to fame as one of the four members of the popular girl group Blackpink, joining YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2011. As the eldest member, she also takes on the role of visual (face) of the group. To maintain her beauty, Jisoo has a few tricks up her sleeve.
Diligent Use of Anti-Aging Products
Jisoo incorporates whitening creams and regular moisturizers for dry skin into her routine to protect and soften her complexion. According to Mayo Clinic, some of the common ingredients in anti-wrinkle and anti-aging creams include retinoids, vitamin C, hydroxy acids, peptides, and niacinamide, all of which have been proven to enhance the appearance of the skin.
Regular Application of Moisturizer
A layer of moisturizer not only prevents dry skin but also slows down the aging process and soothes sensitive skin. Moisturizing should be done immediately after cleansing, both during the day and at night. Applying products right after a shower also helps lock in moisture.
Using Sheet Masks
Jisoo, who has dry skin, regularly applies sheet masks, even revealing that there were times when she used 2-3 masks per day. While this frequency may overload the skin, Jisoo often advises girls to use moisturizing masks consistently to maintain their skin’s hydration.
Jisoo uses sheet masks twice a day and sometimes increases it to three times a day, depending on her needs. She shares that she uses masks throughout the day to “preserve the essence.” Sheet masks also help remove excess oil from the skin and minimize the appearance of large, coarse pores.
Additionally, Jisoo turns to clay masks to soothe her skin after heavy makeup days and to control large pores. Clay masks help regulate sebum production and refine pores due to their ability to absorb excess oil from beneath the pores.
